Heartwood Cabinetry offers you a Room Planning Sheet to create a rough drawing of your space, which will be very useful in the design process. So take some measurements and develop a basic sketch of your room on the Room Planning Sheet, and you're on your way!

The Planning Process

Suggestions:

  • Always use a pencil.
  • Measure in inches only.
  • Note all fixtures, utilities, and electrical outlets/switches (with dimensions).
  • Include location and size of windows and trim, doors, and any existing appliances.
  • Indicate which way doors swing into which rooms.
  • Measure ceiling height.
  • It's a good idea to hire a professional to measure your space before cabinetry and other room elements are purchased.
